I have always wondered whether my use of the microwave for a lot to my cooking in the early part of my life had anything to do with my Parkinson's diagnosis.
This post has nothing to do with Parkinson's, but the theory of how much if at all, radio waves can affect the human body is interesting.

Microwave ovens vary substantially from one to another in the amount of leakage. If this is a concern one can get an EMF meter inexpensively to check. I have done so and discovered a bit of EMF leakage from the microwave, only when it was running of course. I also discovered much much more EMF from my cordless phone base, which was putting out a signal constantly whether it was in use or not. Got rid of it and am satisfied with my corded phones.
Why delete the number? I was at a medical conference where Dr Mercola was the featured speaker. He railed against EMF. He recommended not using a phone unless it's on a selfie-stick. But talking on a phone at the end of a selfie stick is just too weird.
You should definitely not not hold a cell phone up to your face to talk – that exposes your head and neck to very high EMFs. There are inexpensive and readily available earpiece and microphone arrangements attached by cable, or even a Bluetooth connection which is low-power to separate your face from the cell phone transmitter.
It's quite plausible, both the story and in cases of using microwave too close over time and that includes phones and leaky ovens...almost nobody knows about ovens because over time it occurs to practically nobody that an oven could develop a leak.
Quick test: to test whether you have a significant leak in a microwave oven, place a cell phone inside with the oven power OFF but the oven plugged in...then using another cell phone, from a close to the oven call the first phone that should still be closed in the oven.
