Deep mind solves protein folding problem

Technology continues to progress at an incremental rate. At some stage (fairly soon) we will benefit from it. Mis-folded alpha synuclein is thought to have a major role in PD, and is a major part of research

The deep mind computer can model how proteins fold which will very substantially speed research

Good Winnie, positive news are important for morale and is useful for all of us to post it as soon as we learn about it. It is the optimism that gives the energy and the strength to keep fighting. We owe it to ourselves but above all to the young pwp who read us.
