How might sinemet affect the mind?

Lately my brain seems un-fogged. At night I dream I'm still working., seeing patients, diagnosing conditions and doing surgeries. This morning I woke up wondering why I'm wasting so much of my day.

This is retirement but I'm sick of it. Every day I get up, have coffee then spend 2-3 hours on a treadmill. Then I'm done for the day, I want something to do.

I sent a message to the state board asking how I can get a license to practice in this state. Part time would be great. Just so I'm not sitting in a rocking chair all day waiting for THE END.

Is this new-found mental energy a side effect of Sinemet?

That’s great. Seems like motivation which is what the ldopa is supposed to deliver. Wish it worked for my hubby.

I will pass on the advice I got on how to retire properly...

first 6 months

1 find a stack of books you wish to read, to keep the mind active.

2 read for no more than 15 minutes, then stop

3 go for a good enjoyable walk and work on the little guy on your shoulder telling you Have to DO something.

4 repeat 2 & 3 till the little guy is gone

5 now you are retired

6 repeat steps if the little guy comes back

Why not pick up a hobby or volunteer in a local NGO? Still fulfilling but less responsibility for patients.
