Thanks.
Has anyone tried TTFD (Allithiamine) of t... - Cure Parkinson's
Has anyone tried TTFD (Allithiamine) of this brand? If not, any other brands with success for PD or other conditions?
You are better off using B1 HCL, it is water soluble, so any excess is urinated out
Allithiamine Is highly recommended by rescuema on this site. Very knowledgeable person.
This is not the brand he/she recommends, however it looks good to me. I have earmarked it for purchase a little while now.
Research shows Allithiamine is considerably more bio-available than Thiamine HCL. Thiamine HCL is popular because it is readily available and the recommended by Dr Costantini.
The key issue: would it work. Any item that gets pass the blood brain barrier should work. Allithiamine does. The other issue is who has experienced success, in so far as symptom reduction. Not many, if any, as it is not widely used.
But I no expert. Do you research and use what makes sense in your situation.
As for me I purchase Benfotiamine for my spouse - PWP - because she is marginally diabetic and Benfotiamine works well for diabetics 🌺
Thanks CaseyInsights. I have been using Solgar Thiamine HCL as suggested by Dr. C. Not sure on the right dose. Since TTFD crosses blood brain barrier it sounds like will work better and required lesser amount?
From a theoretical viewpoint, because TTDF is more bio-available it should require less product than Thiamine HCL. It has been estimated that no more than 10% of Thiamine HCL is bio available.
For physiological reasons, some persons may find TTDF more effective.
We have to be willing as individuals to try supplements and see what works best for us 🌺
I've had my husband on 50 mg of Lipothiamine. He started that about 6 months before he knew he had Parkinsons. He said Lipothiamine improved his sleep quality.
He takes it at bedtime. When we tried to up his dose to 100 mg, his sleep worsened. I don't think we ever tried taking a split dose with half earlier in the day. We never tried Allithiamine.
He has been taking Thiamine HCl since his diagnosis. And continuing any supplements he was already using, including the bedtime Lipothiamine of 50mg.
Lipothiamine seem to be a brand name or an alternative name for TTFD (Allithiamine)
The supplemental facts for Lipothiamine is as follows -
Thiamine Tetrahydrofurfuryl Disulfide (Vit B1) - 50mg
So is Lipothiamine is TTFD (Allithiamine) 🌺
Thanks ForViolet. Does he get better with the combination of both Thiamine hCL and TTFD than just TTFD alone?
I had already started him on the one tablet of Lipothiamine about 6 months before his diagnosis of PD.
After the diagnosis, I found HealthUnlocked and found the wonderful treatment with Thiamine used by Dr C. His Thiamine treatment has helped my husband greatly.
can you share what he has improved please from B1? Thanks
