Pinched Nerve as Cause?

In what sense is pinched nerve listed here as a cause (rather than being an effect)? Supporting evidence for this?

Pinched nerves (or discs) or sciatica or neuropathic pain resulting from either abnormal spinal curvature, spinal nerve root degeneration, old age arthritis, or degeneration of the spine in general is sometimes seen in combination with progressive PD degeneration well into serious dyskinesia or truncal dystonia motor problems (usually > 65 and 5-10 years+).

Therefore, I don't believe it is a cause per se of PD, nor are there any scientific studies to suggest otherwise.

In the 2 support groups I manage, in 10 years I haven't seen anyone in early PD and younger than 60 with this type of problem. Although it is a fairly large number, it doesn't mean it is entirely without questions. Whether an experienced chiropractor who deals with PwP has a differing opinion, I can't tell you. Very few PwP in either of my support groups use a chiropractor, so it doesn't seem to be a primary cause from that perspective.

I’ve always been suspicious about this since the onset of my symptoms coincided with a big backpacking trip and the preparation for it. I carried large loads in my backpack for several weeks and this resulted in winged scapula and subsequently frozen shoulder. The only link I was able to find out is that there is a somewhat common neurological condition In solders caused by prolonged use of heavy backpacks that results in neurological damage.
