Researchers find that monitoring dietary intake in patients with Parkinson disease (PD) could detect possible micronutrient insufficiencies that may exacerbate adverse effects such as constipation. Expanding knowledge on correct medication intake among patients with PD was also cited

What Benefits Can Dietary Management Provide Patients With Parkinson Disease?
I believe that to be true, about micronutrient insufficiencies!
From the article: "an inadequate intake of micronutrients vitamin D, thiamin, zinc, and iron (76.5% of people studied) were also represented among PwP."
Not much new here; PwP do not absorb vitamins well. The only one of the 3 above I question is iron, which Dr. Mischley does not believe is good for us. High iron counts = worsening progression.
Also mentioned is the protein/levodopa absorption competition. I find studies such as this frustrating, spending time and money on what's known instead of working toward something new.
My frustration is aimed at the study not iqbaliqbal--thank you for sharing,
May I suggest liquid form of vitamins? Dr. Mischley recommended it to my husband.
