The former device was developed by Dr. Tennant in Texas. The latter device was developed in Russia I believe, some time ago...

Thanks in advance,

What is a scenar device?

I have a scenar device, but I do not have PD, so I can't test it for that purpose, but my general feeling about the scenar device is that it is slow and very time consuming when having to run programs that treat large areas of the body. I have a DiaDens PCM model which has pretty good adjustability. This is Russian technology that applies electrical stimulation to specific body points that somewhat align with acupuncture points at variable frequencies depending on what you are trying to treat. Since I never found an application that it seemed to excel at, I would probably not buy another one or recommend it to anyone. The newer units are a little less expensive than the older units as I think I spent over $400 dollars with all of the attachments that I bought with it whereas a new PCM generation 6 is $300 plus extra for accessories.

I would be very interested in whether a quality TENS unit offers any benefit for PWP? This would be the closest US technology compared to Scenar technology which seems broader in application, while TENS units are more limited in scope of applications.
