Long time reader, first time writer.

Question: Does anyone take TUCDA? (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid) If so, what is/was your experience?

I took it on-and-off for 2 years and found it an expensive waste of money.

Then did some research on how it's made.

TUDCA is synthetic. It is made from cholesterol, which is derived from animals, but it is not extracted from bears.

Thanks. That's a relief.

Bear bile farming for UDCA in China is not yet illegal and continues. It takes a pretty twisted government to allow this.

I have used it off an on. Mostly I don't since I am worried that it may interfere with the body's cancer prevention mechanisms - which involves induction of ER stress. I have used it for really bad menstrual cramps. I believe it works in that regard by blocking oxytocin; I thought I had an article that states that it blocks oxytocin, but I seem to have lost it.

I don't have PD; I suspect I may be in the prodrome of multiple system atrophy. I didn't find any noticeable effect on my symptoms but I think it might be one of those things you have to take a while to see any benefit.
