Swallowing and Throat issues

I have been experiencing a weird sensory trigger in my throat any time the PD medication (C/L) is wearing off. The same sensation is relieved as the next medication dose kick me back. It cause me an uncontrollable and annoying clearing the throat reflex that is driving nuts to me and my relatives. I don’t take meds at night/bedtime so my sleep (poor as everyone with PD) is now horrible and a nightmare to me and everyone living under the same roof. I noted that medical marijuana relief that specific symptom the same way as C/L. I just use M/M indica strain 500mg 1:1 thc/cbd ratio at bedtime but just last about 4 to 5 hrs.max. Definitely I won’t add C/L at bedtime. I wish I never had to take C/L and only had taken just supplements. Actually I take more supplements than C/L. After 14 years with PD I started to suffer Sinemet induced cervical dystonia (retrocollis) it happens just when meds wear off and it last about 1/2 hr to 1 hour. It seems to be related to the throat issues. It doesn’t happen when I’m off meds (night/bedtime/early morning).

Anyone have experienced this or similar symptoms? How do you cope with this? Thanks!

Marnegro, are you on high blood pressure meds too? I had meds that made me cough and clear my throat. I have issues with trying to swallow but can't, it takes several tries sometimes.
