Increased tremors upon waking

Husband doesn’t have noticeable tremors when he is awake. But when he wakes from a nap, his tremors in both arms are pretty bad, to the point that he can’t operate the remote for his recliner lift. He also seems anxious and confused. Is this fairly common upon awakening?

Does he recover from this state without medication or does he have to take his meds first?

He does recover in a few minutes without additional meds. But I have to be there when he panics, use the remote for him and pull him to his feet. He takes a minute to get steady before I can let go. I keep a baby monitor with me so I can keep an eye on him to know when he needs help. He gets is anxious and upset until I get him standing.

His anxiety aggravates the problem, and might even be the cause of it. Perhaps others here will have good ideas to help him mitigate his anxiety. A meditation practice would help if he is open to it.

Park Bear. I have the same problem. Have you come across this before? It's random and depending on the day, i either medicate or wait.

I feel like that when I wake up in the a.m. My legs are like jelly. Just started trying to space my c/l out to every 4 hours instead of 6.
