Hi,

Could anyone tell me if your tremors are there constantly when at rest or do they happen occasionally.

I've not been diagnosed yet but my tremors happen when I'm sitting down and when I become nervous but not always when I sit down

After 13 yrs of being diagnosed, I just started having a slight tremor in the last year & it's when I'm sitting but it's not all the time. It's worse when I'm stressed & it's usually when my meds are wearing off. My mouth sometimes quivers also. At night sometimes my whole body shakes about 1 or 2 times per night for just a few minutes each time. I usually take my last med around 6:00 pm & don't take my next dose until 6:00 am. I take 4 Parcopa (dissolving Sinemet) per day & 2 Azilect & 2 Amantadine per day.

ditto laglag with the exceptions: I was dx three years ago; I am not on meds; tremors most of the time

RoyPop we are similar. I have been DX'd. 2 and a half years ago. My tremor is constant, especially with stress but goes away with red wine and beer. I am 75.quite active, No meds yet.

Four years ago, my tremor (right side arm and hand) would kick in about every 20 minutes or so and last for several minutes. Today it is pretty much there all the time except when I'm actively using my hands -- gardening, tinkering, even sewing. When I'm walking or standing it's bad and always gets worse when I'm talking or someone is talking to me. If I'm standing up and holding a drink in my right hand I can count on a certain amount of spillage. Are your tremors worse when you're using your hands, whether or not you're sitting?

When I'm sitting for a while it will happen and then stop when I forcibly and intentionally move my hand

My husband's tremor was only noticeable when he was stressed/distressed. It was most noticeable at his mother's funeral, fairly soon after diagnosis. Keeping him calm and managing potentially stressful situations worked best for him.

I had DBS 1 1/2 yrs ago and about 2 months ago I started tremours on my Rt side. I also have pain in my Rt leg with hesitation walking that lasts about one minute. For now I am attributing it to extreme stress in my life! Hopefully it will straighten out when the stress abates! I find it very strange as before the DBS everything was left sided??
