Hi I have been doing the PD Warrior exercises for about 3 months now, and I am wondering if anyone has been doing it for a longer period of time and if they have noticed any results.

hi there! I have been collaborating with neurologists, geriatric & rehab doctors for several years now; but, am still not tech savvy ... you might want to check out some of the videos that i have uploaded on YouTube. The first few ones were taken recently during this 2020 lockdown ... the later ones were clips from group exercise sessions that we did at the Movement Disorders Center of the Neuroscience Institute in 2014. I tried editing the videos to protect patient privacy. Hope that these help you somehow. the channel is jessica dy
Hi Reginald1
I did the 10 week program about 2 years ago.
I continued to do it at home for a few months. Then i only did it once a week as part of my other exercise routine.
Now im still exercising a lot but not the PD warrior ones.
I am doing well but did not notice a specific change to my symptoms
between PDWarrior and my normal routine.
I find the PD warrior a bit boring to do every day.
I attend exercise classes at the Australian clinic where PD Warrior was developed. I started out 3 years ago, and do a combination of PD Warrior and other balance related exercises. The program made a big difference to my movement skills and to my sense of well being. I would recommend the program to anyone with mild to moderate PD.
I've been doing PD Warrior for almost a year. The ten week challenge made an enormous difference. I went from using a cane, not being able to walk down a hill without assistance and not being able to get up and down kerbs to walking normally without assistance. I'm also on Madopar. You really have to stick with the program and I think it helps if you can attend a class. The support group, Tribe 360, is very valuable. I would highly recommend the program - as Joynb says, for anyone with mild to moderate PD.
I only did PG warrior 10WC in the new year, and that haphazardly as I struggle to find time between my full-time job. But I can definitely say it’s worth it. After just three weeks my balance was improving and I sailed across the kitchen - 25 feet - after losing my footing but did not fall and righted myself. That was a wow moment. Do the program.
Hi Reginald1
I’ve only just come across your post. My husband has been doing the Pd Warrior for approx 3 years now and loves it. He can now straighten his arm and his overall strength has increased. It’s also cognitively challenging. He then started the Pd Boxfit approx 2 years ago. He now does it via zoom (since lockdown) 3 times weekly. I can send details if you’re interested. It can all be done through the NDIS if you are a participant.

Thanks Jenny I have been doing pd warrior regularly via utube since lock down , I do think it helps but am happy that your husband is feeling long term benefits it encourages me to keep going.
I am still able to play squash , which I do twice weekly in competition and I think the pd warrior helps to keep me mobile.
