If you have Parkinsons (note that PwPs were excluded from French trial) with cardiovascular complications, this warning is something to think about before using hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to prevent or cure covid-19. Do yourself a favor and think twice before going that route.
"Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin have been promoted for potential treatment for COVID-19; both drugs are listed as definite causes of torsade de pointes" (abnormal heart rhythm) and increase in the risk of other arrhythmias and sudden death", the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society said in a joint statement April 8 in the journal Circulation. It is important to note here that the Chinese studies on the use of HXC(hydroxychloroquine) found SDS (sudden death syndrome) was not uncommon as the cause of death with covid-19 patients.
They (the AHA, etc.) recommended withholding the drugs in patients with baseline QT prolongation (e.g., QTc of at least 500 msec) or with known congenital long QT syndrome; monitoring cardiac rhythm and QT interval and withdrawing hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin if QTc exceeds 500 msec (QTc is a benchmark for your heart's efficiency; it is an electrocardiogram representation of ventricular depolarization and repolarization.Prolonged QTc is associated with high mortality rates as a general rule).
Stay safe. Use common sense and go into isolation if you are over 65 and have CVD issues. Don't be foolish and think hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin will save you. It may, and then, it may not.
