Am I slow b/c of PD?

I was in the hardware store looking for a bike inner tubes. I told them I know where they are, I guess employee was bored so he followed me til the aisle widened enough he could scoot around me and get to the tubes first. At age 64 I've assumed I'm slowing down. But I still walk and run every day. Before PD my jogging pace as 10 minutes per mile. Now it's 12 mpm. I guess there's no way of knowing whether I'm slowing due to age or due to PD?

Sadly it’s a symptom my friend but it could be a little of both

5 mph pace is not bad at all for a 64 years old even for a normal person!

There's no reason to push yourself beyond that for "jogging" for health.

Who said 5 mph pace? That would put me up with the Olympics marathon.

You said 12 minutes per mile. That's 5 mph.

I meant minutes per mile

If you can run a mile in 10 minutes, that's 6mph speed.

If you can run a mile in 12 minutes, that's 5mph speed.

If that's not what you meant, I'm not sure what speed you meant.

Great you are exercising! Def keep this going ... I wouldn't worry about it too much- just adds to anxiety. Are you taking Omega 3 oil and MCT oil? I also take vitamins and wheatgrass juice every day and! cheers

Bradykinesia, or slowness, is my most visible trait. It's one of the three main categories of PD: bradykinesic, tremor-dominant or agility-impaired.
