Much of the post on this forum are encouraging and would fill you with optimism, so if you have PD and you are looking for encouragement, support and next steps to feeling better mentally and physically... you're in the right place

For your last question (I'm not even sure if that's a question, but anyways) ....

Yes and no... to a large extent everyone over 80 declines in fitness and health generally, but you don't have to have PD or the symptoms

Even though old age decline in health comes with many symptoms such as slowness and bent back- you don't have to have PD

In fact worldwide less than 2% of people ever have PD, which means it is still a disease of the minority

So you don't have to have the symptoms

i was dx in 2013 with pd i dont want you to think i was being facetious i have been lifted by the many posts i have read on this site with regards age,the main current probs i have is tremor and excruciating lower back pain which gives the impression of walking like a question mark

Are you constipated? I had a tremor and a funny walk and constipation. That was enough for the neuro to put me on Sinemet. The tremor is three years old. The funny walk is because of a bad back going back 20 years. The constipation seemed to start after taking Sinemet.

Macrogol is a stool softener for constipation. I saw a doctor today. He recommended miralax1-2 scoops daily increasing til there is 1 soft BM per day. Also OTC steroid cream or Preparation H with lidocaine.
