10 Natural Ways to Increase Your Glutathione Levels
Lots of great information in both these sites. I also linked to How To Raise Glutathione Levels immunehealthscience.com/how.... Quite comprehensive.
On the What Depletes Glutathione site, it is interesting that so many items listed, like acetones, solvents, & paint thinners; mercury, lead, and other heavy metals; formaldehyde, industrial pollutants, and household chemicals are already linked to PD.
Recommendations to eat sulfur-rich and selenium-rich foods (meat, chicken, fish) are difficult for those of us whose protein input affects levodopa absorption, but I was happy to see Vitamin C seems to increase glutathione levels (since I take it daily).
Exercise and sleep also coincide with PD recommendations; perhaps it is the glutathione we are targeting?
One suggestion is to supplement with whey powder. Has anyone tried this? Does it interfere with levodopa absorption?
Thanks again pvw2 for posting these links. I am signed up for Dr. Mischley's online class and I know she advises glutathione supplementation. I am interested in hearing more on this from her as well as the rest of her topics.
My Dr had me use transdermal glutathione spray, it raised my levels such that I can't use it anymore, caused itching. Instead I'm now on a glutathione booster, it has NAC and many other things combined.
