Any tips on preventing sleepiness from ropinirole?

Taking 2mg 3x a day requip (ropinirole)) but it makes me very sleepy. During the day I take it with a cup of coffee. Any other ideas? I don't want to consume too much coffee then become dependent on it.

I used to have the same problem. But it got a lot better when I reduced my daily dose of ropinirole CR to 8 mg; making up for the reduction by taking more Stalevo.

In terms of levodopa equivalent dose, we have: 1 mg ropinirole equals 20 mg levodopa/cabidopa; 1 mg Stalevo equals 1.33 mg L/C.

You could try taking it with food. This will lengthen the time it takes to absorb the drug. I don't know if there are any of the protein competition problems that some people get with levodopa.

Thank you . Im doing intermittent fasting so I guess i can't always take with food
