Better L-Dopa delivery?

Hello all! I read this about the paradise brand capsules in terms of how to deliver that although bit better:

“this product is very effective, but note what they don't tell you, is that in order for the brain to make it into the enzyme that utilizes L-dopa you require an activator like Green Tea or Tumeric”

Any truth to this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not really. It's a bit garbled. Once levadopa gets to the brain it needs nothing to help it convert into dopamine

So no "Activator"

Unfortunately levadopa ingested in the body doesn't last long before it is broken down (decarboxylated) in the body. So most of the levadopa you eat doesn't make it to the brain and you have to eat a lot of levadopa to get enough into the brain which makes you sick (among other side effects)

If you can inhibit the enzymes which break down levadopa in the body, with something which can't cross the blood brain barrier (where it would prevent the brain breaking levadopa down) then you can reduce the amount of levadopa you need to eat, and suffer less nausea and other side effects for the same effective dose in the brain

50 years ago MSD came up with this idea and mixed carbidopa ( a decarboxylase enzyme inhibitor) with levadopa. They gave it a latin name

Sin = "without" emet ="being sick"

To a lesser extent vitamin C, green tea, grapefruit juice and other substances act to inhibit those enzymes, and help reduce the amount of levadopa you need to ingest to get the benefits you want in the brain

BTW - levadopa is a chemical C9H11NO4. Whether it is made synthetically or found in organic substances it is identically the same. 9 Carbon atoms, 11 hydrogen atoms, and 4 oxido nitrate molecules.

Green Tea is poor men's carbidopa. Take your MP with Vitamin C and green tea. Or better yet, dilute your MP powder in the green tea (not hot), adding a tsp of mannitol. As Winnie wrote, if you can start ingesting small amounts of GJ first thing in the morning followed by your green tea with MP, you will most likely find out that L-dopa's efficacy and bioavailability are enhanced.
