Hi

I have been a bit quiet as I lost parents with in three weeks of each other and generally been a busy year!

I was really struggling with being very self conscious and balance wasn’t as good as it could be....

I have kept exercising and still no meds I understand it s a different journey for all

I have found mannitol Helpful and happy to say cinnamon has had a really positive effect on my balance so just wanted to share that

Oh how horrible for you losing not one, but both parents! It would take a long time to recover from that. It’s good that you’ve had the motivation to keep exercising.

To help with feeling self conscious, have you thought about a PD support group? It has helped my husband considerably with his anxiety and self esteem and to be with like-minded people where nobody feels self conscious or is judgemental.

My husband doesn’t have balance issues any more, but that’s interesting how cinnamon has helped you...and no meds!!

Yes a support group is probably a good idea!

My balance was bad just not as good as it had been

Seems Ceylon Cinnamon has lots of healthy benefits

Thank you for your well wishes Re loss of parents it took the wind out of my sails for a while!

In my experience it is much better to properly medicated than unmedicated or under medicated. The idea that levodopa accelerates the arrival of dyskinesia has been disproven.

Sorry you’ve lost your parents. Very distressing and must be worse to lose both virtually at once.

How do you take the cinnamon? I also find mannitol helpful though it’s hard to tell what’s working really!

I guess as I’m not on meds I can tell if there’s any improvement

With mannitol I could roll over in bed much easier

With Ceylon Cinnamon definitely over all improvements in symptoms

I have one flat teaspoon twice a day in coffee or cacao hot chocolate

Recommendations is only Ceylon Cinnamon as other is toxic to the liver

My heart goes out to you, Ryan. We lost both of my husbands parents in a month as well. Quite a devastation. We try not to think about it too much...

As for the ceylon cinnamon, I enjoy it daily as well, just be sure its organic-
