I’ve been doing the sauna now six months five times in a week. It’s part of a extensive regiment that I do that includes supplements Exercise and a keto diet. Personally I think the sauna is key to detoxing helps me sleep better reduces stress. On top of this there’s solid the science behind Sauna use and reductions in all cause mortality. I use a dry sauna with the rocks for steam. This is what was used in Finnish study Look on Craig list for used

I’m glad it’s working for you. I’ve started using the steam room at my gym and I’m hoping it will help. It’s the only time I enjoy a cold shower...

Pardon my ignorance but does a dry sauna mean that it's not infra red

I had heard that infrared is not advisable for PD

I don’t think it matters greatly what the heat source is and couldn’t find adverse reports for IR with PD.

Thanks for your reply. It was the sauna installer that mentioned not to purchase an infrared type.

I´d love to think it's beneficial, as I enjoy and basically feel refreshed after both dry sauna and nozzled hot tub.....BUT with slowly advancing Parkinsons I'm more and more susceptable to dehydration and can't keep up with increasing water and electrolite replacement (in dry Arizona air). Legs end up stiffer and number.

By the way.....anyone found a direct answer to leg siffness (not standard Parkinsons stuff)?

I find Magnesium Citrate Supplement [ 400 mg ] 180 Caps by Aava Labs – Pure & Non-Buffered - for Healthy Bones & Muscle Function from Amazon is good for avoiding muscle stiffness and cramp. I think the sauna will require you to drink more (salty) water to replace the sweat, but it is worth it!

thank you 2bats.....discussion comes at a time when am fixated on hdration/electrolites as perhaps the main issue--related (or not) to PD or side effects of meds, so really pleased that something so basic has been good for you

have been on swanson's triple Mg twice a day,..., sometimes xtra K....citrate is only one of the "triple" parts and have read that that is the most effective....so, could citrate be my PD cure?.....we keep dreaming....anyway, will try simple Mg citrate

thanks
