Keep hope alive
I think it is a shame they do not mention that the symptoms you see he has is dyskinesia which is a sideeffect of the medication. So he is getting to much dopamine.
Are you familiar with Tom Isaacs and his participation in the Bristol GDNF trials? You appear to be implying that Tom's dyskinesia is optional and avoidable, whereas it was the trade-off he had to accept to control his PD symptoms
Amazing guy - inspirational. Very sad when he passed away recently
I am not implying. I just say it is a shame they do not say it is a medicine sideeffect. Not all with parkinson get diskenesia.
I have seen a video with michael fox where he say he every day chose if he want the stifness from parkinson or the diskenesia from the medicine.
Michael J Fox was on one of the late-night programs last month and it was interesting to see that he did not have the dyskinesia but had the tremor. I don’t know if that was an off time that he couldn’t overcome or that was a choice on his part since his wife did most of the talking. Yes, many of us are in the position of choosing the lesser of two evils.
A "side effect of the medication"??? Unless/until you're equipped with a study or research to support your claim, presenting your preferred interpretation of dyskinesia's 'chicken-or-egg' origins as established "fact" is reckless and helps no one.
*See: 'Good News, Bad News on Levodopa' - Jan. 23, 2019:
"The most potent drug available for Parkinson's disease, levodopa, treats symptoms of the disease but does nothing to either ease or increase its still-mysterious underlying causes, a new clinical trial has concluded."

Most people are not aware of the sideeffects.
Some even have tremor as sideeffect.
Look at this random page I found.
rxlist.com/sinemet-side-eff...
So look up the sideeffect for your medication.
You seem to be having a tough time distinguishing well-established 'symptoms of the disease' from 'side effects of the drug'. *Your "random page" fails to support your reckless claims - try again.
Here are the side effets of levadopa.
Look at the big overlap with common parkinson symptoms.
anxiety
clenching or grinding of teeth
clumsiness or unsteadiness
confusion
difficulty swallowing
dizziness
excessive watering of mouth
false sense of well being
hand tremor, increase
numbness
unusual and uncontrolled movements of the body, including the face, tongue, arms, hands, head, and upper body
unusual tiredness or weakness
There are no chicken egg as the parkinson comes before the sideeffects from medication.
Btw. Look up the production of adrenaline and see what it is produced of.
So... rather than offering a source for your bold levodopa claims, you're now switching channels to 'adrenaline'??? How can I ever become as "aware" as you if you can't stay on topic?
