Glyphosate warning on organic products
The link is not working.
Please read the comments at the end of the article. It gives you some suggestions of what you can do to clear glyphosate out of your system.
“Take glycine every day as it binds with glyphosate and removes it from all the cells in the body. This remarkable supplement can achieve this in a matter of weeks. It also helps with sleep and general well being.”
Super Savvy
“here is an informative link from Dr Stephanie Seneff MIT which discusses Glyphosate from many different angles including "what you can do" - people.csail.mit.edu/.../Seneff_Stephanie_052516.pdf and for those that like a more scientific approach here is a link deascribing how glyphosate mimics glycine in the body - the modification of the glycine molecule is most probably how Monsanto engineered glyphosate in the first place - omicsonline.org/open-access..... saturating the body with glycine might make glyphosate absorption less available as the receptors are recognized as interchangeable”
“Trimethyl glycine is easily available as a supplement. The three extra methyl groups can be used by any other chemical in need, leaving free glycine. Homocysteine, a marker for heart disease, uses two methyl groups to turn into methionine, a building block for glutathione. I use TMG and have for years to improve stamina and recovery from vigorous exertion. Another good source of glycine is betaine. I take it as betaine HCl to improve digestion. Glyphosate causes leaky gut syndrome and a stomach acid with a pH 1-2 is necessary to properly start the digestive process and heal the gut. We should all assume that we have Roundup ravaged guts and act accordingly for at least 20 years after glyphosate has been banned. Pure glycine is mildly sweet. I use it in tea and to buffer the sourness of powdered vitamin C.”
Ps (I thought TMG HCl is betaine HCl?)

Appalling Data About Widespread Glyphosate Contamination
ewg.org/release/roundup-bre...
A second round of tests commissioned by the Environmental Working Group found the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer in every sample of popular oat-based cereal and other oat-based food marketed to children. These test results fly in the face of claims by two companies, Quaker and General Mills, which have said there is no reason for concern. This is because, they say, their products meet the legal standards.
Yet almost all of the samples tested by EWG had residues of glyphosate at levels higher than what EWG scientists consider protective of children’s health with an adequate margin of safety. The EWG findings of a chemical identified as probably carcinogenic by the World Health Organization come on the heels of a major study published in JAMA Internal Medicine that found a significant reduction in cancer risk for individuals who ate a lot of organic food.
Pesticides uncovered in store brand cereal, beans, produce

These brands had between 80 parts per billion (ppb) or more of glyphosate residue:
• Orgain Organic Protein Plant-Based Protein Powder, unflavored: USDA Organic (tested twice and both times in high concern)
• Anthony’s Premium Pea Protein made from yellow pea protein isolate from Germany, unflavored

The Turkish Infiltration of the U.S. Organic Grain MarketHow Failed Enforcement and Ineffective Regulations Made the U.S. Ripe for Fraud and Organized Crime
cornucopia.org/2018/06/look...
Kastel lamented that the USDA had “looked the other way” on documentation concerning fraud from China and Eastern Europe for over a decade. “The timing couldn’t be worse. The marketplace will likely create incentives for U.S. farmers to convert more acreage to organic management, but this news is coming too late in the 2018 growing season.”
The story unveiled by Cornucopia is one of a U.S. market plagued by feeble, often non-existent, enforcement by federal regulators and organic certifiers, despite repeated calls for stricter oversight and legal reform.
After the European Union enacted more stringent protocols in 2015, following a controversy involving fake organic sunflower cake originating in Ukraine, a lax regulatory system made the U.S. an attractive receptacle for potentially corrupt actors seeking a less burdensome market with fewer trade controls.

The test results which vary widely from not detectable in Lilly’s to over 30 ppb of glyphosate (and its breakdown AMPA) in Trader Joe’s hummus point to a range of the levels of glyphosate herbicides being sprayed on crops. Clearly, Lilly’s supplier’s practices show us that garbanzo beans can be harvested without glyphosate herbicides.

Thanks to Moms Across America supporters; our sponsors and private citizens donating thousands of dollars in three days to pay for testing, glyphosate has been found in feeding tube liquid which is given to babies and children with cancer in hospitals.
Microbe Inotech lab detected 6 out of 20 (30%) of Pediasure samples from the same batch tested postive at levels above 75ppb at 800-1110 X higher than has been shown to destroy gut bacteria in chickens (.1ppb). Only 50ppT ( trillion) was shown to cause liver, kidney and sex hormone changes in rats. These samples were sent by a Moms Across America supporter. This is the exact brand used in the pediatric rehabilitation hospital where she worked and was fed patients needing tube feeding in critical care.
And thank you for posting all the material. I don't know what to do since I eat quite often oat Bran cereal, which is organic but then again who knows with this information. Also sometimes I drink a pea based Shake made by dr. Christenson, it's called a daily reset Shake. It's got a really good taste to my taste buds. I think the quality of our food is poor, the regulations are not enforced, is there is any regulations to begin with. I feel really helpless . Mary
Agreed this is an appalling situation. Contamination by pesticides and herbicides really matters. Decades ago on a few occasions I sprayed glyphosate on poison oak on my property. Even though I took precautions and had no actual contact or inhalation as far as I could tell, I always got stomach pain afterwards.
Here is a home test kit for glyphosate. I would not call it cheap at $40 per test but on the other hand it is testing down to the parts per billion level so it is a sophisticated test:
This is just the latest scare.
Don’t forget we are all living longer, and cancer rates are down .
There are thousands of studies showing that glyphosate is safe.
Actually US life expectancy has dropped for three consecutive years and is well below that of comparable countries.
healthsystemtracker.org/cha...
There are not “thousands” of studies declaring Roundup safe. But there is the World Health Organization’s declaration that it is a carcinogen and a leading cause of non-hodgekins lymphoma.
It depends upon who is paying for it. It is easy to find no toxicity if that is what you are trying to prove - look at acute toxicity only in a short-lived rodent. When you see a table like this you know you are looking at propaganda:
shareok.org/bitstream/handl...
"Acute Oral LD50 of some common herbicides and common household products. This is the amount of a product consumed on a per-weight basis that would kill 50% of a population. For example, if 10 people consumed the 50% lethal dose (LD50), five of them would die.
Compound LD50 (mg/kg)
...
Caffeine 192
...
Table salt 3,320
Glyphosate (Roundup) 4,900"
Their explanations of what LD50 means shows what they think of the intelligence of their audience.
Beware of the psudoscientist with selfish motives
US life expectancy has been downgraded by opioid overdoses and gun deaths
Also I have no no motives at all. At age 85 I have seen so many “scares” come and go that I am a skeptic, as all real scientists are.
Yes, the comments section definitely worth exploring. And very good catch on this in general, thanks for finding and posting.
I have found my tribe here.
