1. Do you still wear high heels? ๐Ÿ‘  If you do, how confident do you feel when you walk, not been scared ๐Ÿ˜ฑ of falling......because I do!!!๐Ÿ˜ฌ I havenโ€™t wear heels in years I totally lost my confidence FEAR ๐Ÿคฃ controls me. I know thereโ€™s nice low heel shoes, but sometimes one feels to look you know.......... sexy!!! (without offending anyone)

2. Does anyone have hammer toes? Have you had surgery to correct them? If so was it painful ๐Ÿ˜– and how long to recover? Iโ€™m starting to have trouble fitting my shoes specially the left foot, although they donโ€™t hurt, summer is coming and I canโ€™t wear sandals I have trouble fitting my little toe and it looks like a little ball. Any natural remedies? Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

I wear heels sometimes. Low ones. I am afraid Iโ€™m going to fall. I hold onto railings. I had to walk down a hill today.๐Ÿ˜ณ

But flats look so dumpy with dresses.

And people accept that I walk slow โ€” because Iโ€™m wearing heels. So thatโ€™s good.

I know flats donโ€™t look very elegant with a dress ๐Ÿ‘—

I find that I feel more confident and safer in platforms these days. They work well with dresses.

I do what my mum did, and she wore high heels until the day she dies at 84! I travel in a low pair of the same colour, and swap just before I get there!!!!

Not worth the risk of a fall.

If it is about feeling sexy for yourself, you can align your standard of sexiness to something that works for your body.

If it is about looking sexy for a partner, do you want to attract someone turned on by something that is uncomfortable for you?

What looks sexy is matter of personal taste. This bear likes his women sleek and catlike with good muscle definition. Cannot recall seeing any of my lady friends in heels :-)

I do have nice shoes where I feel sexy when I wear them, but sometimes I see other women wearing them (heels) with such confidence that I regret when I couldโ€™ve wear them and I didnโ€™t. Thank you for sharing your type ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™ve been uncomfortable In heels for many years prior to my diagnosis. I wore cute ballet flats until a couple of years ago when I took a fall crossing a busy street. Falling would be catastrophic and definitely not sexy. Got rid of those ballet flats, now live in sneakers since Iโ€™m at the gym every day. Mary Janes are cute and have a strap across the top of the foot so wear them with skirts. There are plenty of sandal styles that cover bunions, hammer toes, etc and are supportive and comfortable and look pretty. Podiatrist told me that surgery on a non painful hammer toe means months of no weight bearing on that foot. We need to exercise!!! IMHO healthy and active is sexy!

It was actually a good wake up call.

I am more concerned about staying upright then how heels make me look.

barkingdogshoes.com will tell you brands of shoes for specific foot problems. They do not sell shoes but share helpful information.

I wear Mary Jane type shoes with a slightly raised heel, works for me and I was never any good at wearing high heels anyway. I find putting on mascara is challenging (along with a dozen other things). Envy those folk looking forward to Summer, I'm staring down the barrel of Winter and not relishing the thought.

I canโ€™t wear heels anymore because of fear of falling. The foot position also makes my leg tremor worse. However, I am able to wear a wedge, which I find more comfortable anyway. There are some pretty wedge sandals out there for summer. In the winter I just have to wear flats. Or, flat soled boots can sometimes dress up an outfit. Hope you find options that work for you.

I wear sneakers most of time, except on Sunday when I go to church. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ˜„

Flats or a very low wedge on special occasions. Miss the option of high heels though.๐Ÿ˜
