My husband was dx 5 years ago with PD. He takes carbidoba/levadopa 4x/day and extended relief at night. He has had more difficulty with his feet feezing lately and has been falling more. We are going to a physical therapist today that specialized in PD for any help he can give. Does anyone else have any tips for him? Thanks!
Freezing: My husband was dx 5 years ago... - Cure Parkinson's
Freezing
Hi clajac. YES! The only way I know to overcome 'Freezing' is for him to learn how to CONSCIOUSLY CONTROL HIS WALKING'
If you want to know how to go about doing this then look at my website - reverseparkinsons.net and contact me. I will send you all the information, at no cost!
One more issue he has that inhibits him from walking is that he has severe arthritis in both of his feet, bone on bone. I must say he deals with this very well and continues to walk. Yes, we would be interested in any information you have that might help. I will check out your website too. Thank you!
Hi clajac. I also have arthritis in my right foot that gets quite painful to start with but seems to disappear as I walk. There is a distinct bulge on that joint. I don't know if I should stop the walking or what I should do.
I am so against taking drugs for all these problems and rely on my body to cope on its own. Who knows, It might get better!
See Dr. Constantini on you tube and his work with vitamin B1. It has Improved me greatly, especially the freezing. Check with your pd nurse before starting, but mind said even if it did no good it would do no harm. Boy has it done good. Better sleep, more stable, more confident, no freezing, etc. you notice changes for the positive ever month for about six months, and then you just carry on at that level. I take 400g.
