I know they have been supposedly halting the profession for 6 yrs in Italy. How long has it worked for people on this message board? I’ve taken it for a little over a month with great results, still zeroing I’m on my dose.

I started HDT within 3 weeks of being diagnosed last May. I also exercise regularly and take other supplements and changed my diet so I don't know how much benefit to attribute to HDT, but I feel better now than I did last May. Here's a link to Dr. Costantini's YouTube channel. The testimonials from his actual patients is what convinced me to give it a try. I'm glad I did!

Yes, there are many videos. You have been taking HDT as long as anyone I know on this forum. I'm hoping to see separate comments on this thread from you and Kia17...

If I understand correctly, the question is after almost 4 years of b1 has the progression of the disease both stopped and slowed down?

You Jim put me in a difficult situation.

I would have preferred to have an external objective judgment from the scientific community.

However ...

I feel almost 4 years ago, sometimes even better, sometimes a little worse, but never as bad as before b1.

You may not even believe me because I too pray every day that it really is so.

🙏🙏🙏 😊

Jim, I hope my answer you satisfy, thank you for your question, which shows your genuine interest. I just want to add this: I wonder how I would be without b1 after 4 years? there are those who say that the decline is 3% linear per year, but the symptoms and the resulting quality of life are? In my experience before the b1 no! they are steep, from one symptom to five and so on. So how would I be without b1? After almost 4 years I have the privilege of being able to make a comparison. My life is almost normal and I work full time in an always cold flower shop, in the morning I'm a bit stiff and I tremble a little when I'm tired from work, but no goal my life has been reduced by PD after 4 years. Without it I would be a probably retired. So I think we all grow older anyway and in 20 years I'll tell you that I got worse, but not much more than my neighbor who doesn't have PD.

Diagnosed 2012

My regimen:

The positives: no bradykinesia, I cut my food with a knife, no button difficulties, brush my teeth now w/o needing elect brush, more strength. Getting in and out of bed, turning over is easier. No more constipation. Parkinson's progression stopped. Suppressed all motor and non-motor symptoms...

Entering my 7th year post diagnosis and have not fallen, not once, to the surprise of my neuro. Was seeing neuro every 6th month, last visit he set app one year. He said if needed we could do some changes earlier. He said my condition can change in as little time as one week.

New schedule, now I follow this regimen:

3 x day C/L 50-200 ER : 8 am, 2 pm, 8 pm. Because it is ER, I take with or w/o food.

2 x day (8 am 2g, and 2 pm 2g) Vitacost vitamin B1 (as thiamine HCL) 500mg, easy swallow capsules

B1 Thiamine therapy reference / stop progression, suppress motor and non-motor symptoms:

(Thiamine HCL is oral substitute to injecting B1) 2 x day (morning 2g and at lunch 2g)

Doctor Costantini strategy that I find helpful "thiamine hcl stops the progression forever...".

Parky people say the first five years is your honeymoon stage with Parkinson's. After that, progression more rapid.

I have gone from slow motion to normal motor action since joining the growing number of PwP that have started B1 regimen/protocol. –

Doctor Costantini - “Why is this? Because there is no medicine or drug that is able to affect all of the organs, whereas all of the organs function thanks to Thiamine. An important detail”, adds doctor Costantini, “the Thiamine therapy brings no collateral damage with time”.

Roy,

Would you please clear up how long you've been on HDT? There seems to be some confusion.

Julie

I will let Roy Prop speak for himself. I know he has been on this for at least 6 years. I suggest you do a name search for him on Health Unlocked.
