Which Thiamine pill works best, it's hcl right? That's what I was using, dr. Clark's brand no fillers I was taking 2 500mg twice a day,had good bowel movement , then nothing.. Then went to 4 pills twice a day, nothing. Been through 2 bottles. Ran out, I'm going to try again and slowly up my dose. Does thiamine have cofactors most vitamins do. Wouldn't you unbalance your b vitamins, by so much. I read that niacin the one that makes you flush, helps with depression/anxiety, anyone tried .

I have no idea what product you are using, naming the seller doesn't help much. There is only one chemical preparation for B1 that is in the protocol, and only one: Thiamine HCL. HCL HCL HCL HCL HCL. Danger lurks in the others, which are not water soluble and in fact are fat soluble and will clog you up and hang on you and perhaps poison you at these dosages. Thiamine HCL. HCL. HCL. CAN'T EMPHASIZE IT MORE. HCL.

akgirlsrock,

If the product below is what you are using, it appears to be the correct amount and form of thiamine, but a little on the pricey side at $26.67 for a 100 capsule bottle of 500 mg capsules. Two products that many members have used effectively is the Vitacost house brand at 300 capsules of 500 mg for about $30 or the Solgar brand Thiamine HCI tablets that come in bottles of 100 pills at 500 mg each for about $16
