I’m new here elderly woman diagnosed with “mild cognitive impairment” (frontal lobe dementia). Are there other people coping with issues stemming from this diagnosis?

I do not have that diagnosis, but I do struggle with similiar symptoms and can highly recommend a book on the subject that you might find helpful. The book is called Living with Mild Cognitive Impairment: A Guide to Maximizing Brain Health and Reducing the Risk of Dementia written by Nicole D Anderson, PhD, Kelly J. Murphy, PhD and Angela K. Troyer, Phd

To locate a copy of the book, go into any bookstore and use this ISBN number 978-0-19-976482-2 and you should be able to find it. Here in Canada, it sold for $21.95

In my own circumstance, I found understanding any diagnosis to reduce my anxiety and fear.

Here is a YouTube Channel from a person who received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia:

Thank you for your care I will view it. I’m still fearful of what is possibly going to happen to me. My very long-standing depression compounds things.

Mild cognitive impairment is not the same as dementia. It is very common in pd.

It is actually frontotemporal lobe dementia I have now been diagnosed with....... FTD.......Usually found in much younger people than me. Am using Vielight Neuro Alpha laser headpiece and nasal attachment 6 nights a week (not medically recognised yet, but has some impressive scientific people involved and testimonials), this helped me trust these people. Totally safe. Feeling much calmer and getting better sleep is most obvious bonus so far for both my 86 yr old husband and self 84, so worth cost for those alone. If not happy after 6 months get 80% money back. Got mine in Australia.

Here's a good 17 minute video that talks about fighting both alzheimer's and mild cognitive impairment through simple diet changes.
