One minute I’m dreaming I can’t get my bearings (a shark was after me and I was struggling to get out of the water), and the next minute I’m awakened by a severe pain in my head. At first I was disoriented; then I realized I was on the floor - not in bed! But I didn’t fall out of bed; my husband says I was standing when I fell.
I was probably acting out my dream and dove forward to escape ... the shark. 🤔 There was nothing to break my fall but the very hard leg of my bed! It really messed me up. I have a big bump on the top of my head and a bump and crease down my forehead that makes me look like a Klingon! Also a massive bruise on my outer thigh and several more on my shoulder and back. Weird experience! My husband says I had been talking and arguing in my sleep for awhile before it happened.
I’m wondering if the above discussion (See @Roborn1’s recent post) about too much carbidopa/levodopa applies here also? The vivid dreams is becoming far more than a nuisance - it’s becoming dangerous! Has anyone else experienced vivid dreams?

It is rem sleep disorder. The first dream I had like that was a warthog chasing me and when I went to punch him in the nose instead I punched the corner of my dresser and hurt my hand. Many people take Clonazepam for this. It is best to talk to your doctor about what to do.
Yes, I experienced vivid dreams, but I was more of an observer than a participant. I rarely saw myself in the dreams, but of course, the one night I did see myself in the dream, I was protecting my car from some bad guys and yelled out loud, according to my shocked wife, “Get away from my car!”
Of course, we had company staying with us!
I also had one sleepwalking incident. I walked into the wall in the kitchen expecting a door to be there. That is a weird way to wake up, wondering how you got there. I remember the word “sleepwalking” coming to mind and knew that was it. That was my one and only. I was taking Rytary at the time, but switched back to generic C/L 50/200 at the beginning of the year.
Mogul1 Your experience is so similar to mine! I scream in my sleep way too often. We were in California this summer, staying with friends, and felt the need to warn them. Good thing we did because I did scream - very loud - that 1st night. They would have surely thought my husband was murdering me had they not been warned! This has been going on for 8-10 months now. I think it’s the C/L meds. Whatever it is, I don’t like it, but what are you gonna do. Gotta laugh it off and move on.
If The yelling has not happened since I stopped taking Rytary. I did have one sleep walking incident but I thought it was left overs from Rytary. I had no history of these issues until I began taking Rytary. So zIm v GG
I had these dreams 5-6 years prior diagnosis. I still have them but less intense and not so often, probably because of B1. I do not think it is related to c/l.
