The correlation however between low vitamin D and executive function was statistically very positive. Individuals with high vitamin D levels taking into account all the cofounders and controls exhibited better executive function especially in mental shifting, information updating and processing speed, all very important as relates to reasoning, judgment, decision making and immediate recall (encoding).

Healthy levels of vitamin D also are good for bone strength, reduced incidence of cancer, and increased longevity.
