"I have been using for a week with some great results for a few different things, and I have kept a log of the settings and results as well as variables. Unfortunately I have incredibly bad tinnitus now, its so uncomfortable and stressful and I didn’t have it before. So I am going to not use the ICES for a week to see if the tinnitus goes away."
The "hair cells" responsible for hearing are extremely delicate and if damaged may not recover, resulting in permanent hearing loss. This undesirable effect would be dependent on the placement of the device and the amplitude of the signal. The manufacturer needs to do the work to understand how to avoid this result.
