Found in on Dr. Mercola's website. Has anyone heard/read/used it? Sounds promising.

This looked really promising from what the webpage had to say until I saw this comment at the bottom:

"I have been using for a week with some great results for a few different things, and I have kept a log of the settings and results as well as variables. Unfortunately I have incredibly bad tinnitus now, its so uncomfortable and stressful and I didn’t have it before. So I am going to not use the ICES for a week to see if the tinnitus goes away."

The "hair cells" responsible for hearing are extremely delicate and if damaged may not recover, resulting in permanent hearing loss. To compensate, the brain automatically turns up the gain on the audio nerve impulses from the ear, resulting in an ongoing subjective experience of hearing noise. This is one outcome you do not want to risk. Voice of experience speaking.

There are always side effects, but that doesn't mean everyone will experience hearing loss using ICES. I may be wrong.

You are probably right that not everyone experiences this outcome. However, this is a major additional impairment and is usually irreversible - do you really want take that risk? People have committed suicide due to tinnitus.

This undesirable effect would be dependent on the placement of the device and the amplitude of the signal. The manufacturer needs to do the work to understand how to avoid this result.
