Sinemet and fasting

Has anyone noticed improvement in Sinemet absorption when fasting, such as intermittent fasting?

I noticed that I do. I am on Sinemet only and nothing else.

Intermittent fasting is antiinflammatory and likely to be helpful in the reduction of symptoms of many disease states with excessive inflammation as a core component, so it seems plausible that it could possibly improve your symptoms.

I had a stomach virus over the holidays and couldn't even look at food for 4 days. The first thing I noticed was that the sinemet was working better than ever. It totally stopped the tremor (never does that) and instead of every 4 hours of 100mg., it was lasting 8 hours or better. My guess was that it didn't have to compete with food for absorption space.

My current doctor advised me to take the Sinemet on an empty stomach. Either 45 minutes before food or 45 minutes after. It still did not work well. Only thing that totally works is during fasting.
