My husband takes Safinamide (Xadago) I noticed from a previous post you take Asilect, Asilect and Xadago are both MOAB inhibitors and you cannot take both. John my husband had to withdraw from the Asilect over a period of three week before he could start on the Xadago. Coming off the Asilect was not easy but worth it. The Zadago def extended the life of his Stelevo, has very little off periods and has been able to stop taking the extra Madapor he needed when he had off periods . He’s been diagnosed 12 years , very active , gym running golf 😀

So are you saying Xadago has been more effective than Asilect?

Yes he was on Asilect for over 4 years and when he had to withdraw from it his symptoms were a bit worse but nothing like what we expected so I assume it wasn’t really doing very much for him 😀

Johns dyskinesia has improved since he started on Xadago about three months ago although it wasn’t really bad - he doesn’t realise he is dyskinetic
