Slowness

I'm developing such a slowness that I can't control any movement, I can't walk. It's really incapacitating me. This has happened in a real short period of time. I'm desperate.

Are you taking meds or supplements for your PD symptoms? I assume you were recently diagnosed?

I would go see your Neurologist. You may need your meds changed and exercise, if you are not already.

Do you know what type of Parkinson's you have? Make sure to find out! My mother suffers from vascular parkinsons and that amount of meds would freeze her up completely (not to mention feel like she was going loopy). Good luck and keep us posted!

This may be totally wrong for you, but could you really push yourself to walk. I am getting slower as time goes on, but I can still do a 6km in an hour. Maybe walk as fast as you can for as long as you can. Stop and drag your body back if need be. Your brain is telling your body you can't do it. Tell your body it can!

I understand your situation as, I have slowness myself, plus now am getting sometimes very strong muscle tremors and spasms in my feet and legs. You might want to look into the HDL B1 therapy program. I understand that it ihas helped others. I just started the program, so it i really to early yet to realize the benefits.

Hi mis37, I find that I slow down considerably when my meds wear off, so perhaps readjusting your meds might help. Also, the levodopa content of mucuna whole powder- if this is what you are taking - can vary greatly from batch to batch as I found out when my latest delivery proved to be totally ineffective. I hope you will start to feel better soon.
