For the past 6 months or more I have developed allergy type symptoms. Hard to get a deep breath, constant drainage and clearing my throat. Anyone else have this problem. I take 1500mg B1, Mucuna and 25/100 siminet. Have had PD since2011 and this is my worse symptom.
Thanks

I was asking because the constant need or feeling to clear the throat can sometimes be a symptom caused by a small amount of acid actually getting to the throat area, but that doesn't sound like your issue.
This a general observation. Your symptoms are compatible with allergy, asthma, infection (i.e. possible pneumonia) or if you are a long time smoker this may be C.O.P.D. (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It maybe symptomatic of some quirk or undefinable association with Parkinson's.
But, assuming it is not a kinki or unusual finding in Parkinson's, the reasons I gave are so broad becuause the symptoms you described are general symptoms of a broad range of pulmonary diseases. I would suggest that you need more specifically in diagnosis by a physician. ......auscultation, blood work, pulmonary function testing, possible X-rays, etc. without these essential measurements of your pulmonary and general health you cannot be sure what is causing your symptoms.
Otherwise, you asking for a best guess diagnosis from a few general
Mix one cup filtered water with a tsp of organic apple cider vinegar. Put as much as any inhaler you choose holds and pressing with your finger one nostril, inhale deep in the other nostril. My husband's chronic drainage has stopped. He follows this regimen every morning and night before he goes to bed. Read it on Dr. Mercola's site.

Have you eliminated all dairy? Dairy is a no-no anyway for PD and causes LOTS of mucus. My nose still constantly runs, but the mucus has minimized after eliminating dairy.
Get tested for Gerd. I have found a simple product which works better than all the stuff given me by gastros....Heartburn Relief by Enzymatic Therapy. OTC I buy from Vitacost online. You use it for a month and then can lay off for a couple. Gerd can allow gastric gases to travel up into the nasal passages and mimic allergies. I use Vitamin C, quercetin every few hours. Remember that PD affects the musculature so go to your local hospital for rehab.
NO dairy!
Re your prob at dentist, I have that also any time I have to lie back. Get them to put a little pillow or rolled towel under your neck. Highly recommend getting checked for apnea. Two kinds...one when the organs around the nose shift back upon lying down and block airways. The other neurological when the brain doesn’t send the signals to breathe regularly. I have the former, my PD husband had both and I am convinced it shortened his life. Easy test using a finger monitor overnite at home. Doc will tell if you have aoneazand if he thinks necessary, do an overnight test in a lab. Apnea contributes to a huge number of degenerative diseases. I will send you the name of a chart which notes this effect. One day it will be malpractice when a doc diagnoses a disease and doesn’t follow up by saying, “now let’s just see how you breathe”.
Google: The Consequences Of Sleep Apnea, click on image. You will see charts of all sorts. Wish I could show the one I copied from my pulmonary docs office but I can’t seem to paste it here. I can only describe it as a mans figure in vivid colors with lines going from the description of disease influence to the point in the body affected. There is a dotted circle around the navel. This chart should be in every doctors office. The test for it is simple and valid and treatment works. If you have it, you have it for life. People with apnea often have no symptoms.
