Of course! Just take plenty of meds in different places in case you lose your luggage ( in original packaging) ,inform the travel insurance people ( who will charge a bit more) and allow lots of rest time during your travels. I'm not sure how far away you are from Tenerife there but a holiday sounds great!

Definitely - I’m in Madeira for a week! :-)

I just returned from Mt Blanc. Good advice on meds and rest. One of our bags was stolen but no problem.

I just went to Paris. Unfortunately, due to two canceled flights and bad rerouting we lost a day and our luggage never made it. It ruined Paris for me for a couple of days and nights (calling the airlines). But thank God I was traveling with my 21 year old son who helped me chill out and enjoy the time we did have in París, and my lady friend who, still at home and much more experienced in international travel than me, took over the luggage retrieval mission and did get them found and sent home intact. I’m nominating them both for sainthood.

So, yes. Go. But don’t go alone. Go with someone who likes you. And plan for your on vs off periods (and jet lag).
