Mercury Amalgam Fillings
Pretty bad. Another good example of how profit-based healthcare benefits the providers and harms the patient's. Single-payer, even as an option, would solve this problem.
I always used to wonder why dentists had such high suicide rates. I have now concluded that mercury has a fair bit to do with it.

if you dont like mercola, there is plenty of other info online re the toxicity of mercury. and be aware that wikipedia can be edited by anyone whos in front of a computer.
we have been back and forth about this topic on other posts, so im not going to do that again. its obvious that you are pro-mercury, from your anger in replies to previous posts. perhaps you are a dentist who has used mercury, and doesnt want to acknowledge its dangers??? like i quoted mark twain before---"its easier to fool someone, than to convince someone that theyve been fooled.

Are you going to start a thread on the dangers of eating fish? That seems to be a worse problem than dental amalgam.
Too many of the Mercola types jump on bad science. We have seen that with vaccinations and the result of that scare - dead children.
Wow I have 7 of these amalgam filings. I must replace. Thank you for sharing. Especially the detail on your profile.
when you have them removed, be sure to use a biological dentist that will remove them correctly, so that you will not be harmed by the mercury vapors. there is plenty on the internet abut the huggins protocol that explains how to have the amalgams properly removed.
Are you in the US? If so do you know if it’s included in the medical benefits in other words do dental benefits cover the cost aside from co-pay?
no its not covered, because amalgams are not recognized as a problem. the ama and the fda say that even though they are hazardous waste outside of our mouths, once they go into our mouths, they are stable and do not leach. really?? do a google search with - mercury amalgam, there is alot of info about its toxicity.
Thank you Jujulini
It scares me to think I may have shot myself in the foot before I knew that amalgam fillings and crowns required specific removal techniques.
