I exercise a lot. Walking, running, boxing, Tai chi. Bike rides. Today I went on a 15 mile bike ride. It got pretty hot, up to 86. But when I finished my tremor was so much worse! And I was 4 hours away from my next dose of sinemet. This is the first time my union tremor was worse after exercising. Wondering if the heat had anything to do with it? After I cooled off tremor calmed down
What’s up with this?: I exercise a lot... - Cure Parkinson's
What’s up with this?
yes
Heat is very hard on PWP. The autonomic function of temperature regulation seems to not work well with PWP. My husband has had to learn to do anything outside early during Texas summers. We try to leave Texas and go to Northern Minnesota to escape the 100 plus temps when we can.
Thiamine fixed my body temperature regulation. Since using it, no problems even on the beach.. And try to not overdoing it with the exercising. May be no need of that much. Just listen to your body.. If you would find the right ballance you would feel much better.
ıf I may ask, what do you mean by 'fixed my body temperature' ? were you cold or warm before taking it?
Yes I had both warm/sweating bouts followed by cold periods throughout the year for years. Approximately a month after start taking B1 it all gone, and I now simply enjoy the summer.. And by the way no legs cramps anymore..
dadcor,
When you have time and if it isn't too much trouble, could you add a post to the who is taking thiamine thread describing your experience to date with thiamine use?

Hi Art, yes I will.. I am still carefully watching on myself for changes, and talking to Dr C on dose details and all that.. In fact my "ugly intruder" is still with me.. A bunch of symptoms disappeared, but my tremors and some dyskinesia are not yet influenced at all.. So when I am sure that the positive changes are solid and lasting and feel ready, I will put down all my observations..
Rgds,
dadcor,
That will be great! I like that you are watching carefully to make sure what thiamine is doing and not doing! That will make your post, when you make it, of very good value for all those who are interested in trying thiamine!

Heat puts stress on the body. It is not good to add to this stress by exercising.
Exercise is good, but twice as much exercise is not necessarily better. Reserve some energy for the body to recover.
Not uncommon or even unexpected for tremors to be worse when exercising due to release of adrenaline. Happens with me too.
I had the same when doing too much exercising. I do not know if this has something to do with the temp outside. Exercising needs some break: do it one day for no more than 30-60 mins, rest the next day.
One thing you may want to examine is hydration and electrolyte replenishment due to greater losses in hot weather. Pedialyte is much better than gatorade to replenish electrolytes.
