Joint Pain and Exhaustion

Does anyone experience joint pain, hurting everywhere, wrist, knees, bottom of feet, neck, and ....When I have had these "episodes," for lack of better term. I also feel exhaustion and so physically cold? I've had a couple of these "episodes" in the last three weeks. Yesterday was one of these days. This morning, I woke up with no pain, still very tired, but much better.

Sometimes it is difficult to know if it is PD or something else that needs to be addressed.

Maybe try some magnesium if you don't already. Not sure if it's PD - might be arthritis or something else. sounds unpleasant. I hope you find a solution.

Check your thyroid?... you might have hypothyroidism.

I have these "times" also. They come and they go. I had blood tests done but they couldn't find anything. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't check with your doctor. It could be thyroid. Its worth checking out.

Did you see the responses that I received. Check out the one by parkie13, toogood, and easilly, has some good links.

Thanks KLDA for the heads up. I have often though I might have fibromyalgia in top of PD. I'm trying to read about how low-dose Naltrexone LDN works.

Thank you for your input. I've check PD symptoms and the ones that I mentioned above don't fit. I agree it may be my thyroid or other. I have an appoint with my doctor next week. .

Before I started using low-dose Naltrexone LDN I had a lot of pain in my whole body. And it would move around it just did not make any sense. I've been on LDN for about 3 years now and it has really helped with both emotional and physical well being. I take 3 mg per day. I buy 50 mg tablets and mix them with 50 mL of water and use a dosing syringe and take 3 ml per day. I got a prescription from my PA. Before that I bought it from Canadian pharmacy without a prescription. Lots of info on Google if you do a search . Mary

I just looked LDN up, and found that Low-dose Naltrexone (LDN) has been used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. After three days of pain, and exhaustion, I woke up this morning with no symptoms. Last week a had a day of the same discomfort. Mine comes and goes.

Just curious was your body pain continuous?

KLDA,

Here are two very short links for you to look at:

myfibroteam.com/questions/s...

mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...

Also consider this abstract :

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/208...

Do you think these links describe your symptoms accurately? If so you can ask your doctor about it.

In the meantime, you can consider this :

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedheal...

and this:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/263...

Topical magnesium chloride is commonly referred to as magnesium oil or mag oil and is readily available from vitamin stores and on line. It is easy to apply from a spray bottle. My brother uses it for his fibromyalgia and finds it very helpful for relief of pain which he describes as moving from place to place with each advent. You can purchase it in a small 8 ounce bottle to test it out cheaply and then if you find it beneficial, you can order a larger bag of the dry flakes of it and make your own very cheaply by just adding distilled water to the flakes.

Here is a link to a post I wrote about it that gives more information and uses:

Good luck and keep us posted on how it works for you!

Could you use Epsom salts in the mixture

in reply toToogood

Epsom salts is great as a bath soak that delivers some of the benefits of magnesium, but the convenience of a spray bottle of mag oil is unbeatable! Epsom salts which is magnesium sulfate, does not seem to absorb as well or work as effectively as the magnesium chloride form that is used for mag oil.

Easilly,

Thank You for all of the links. I just saved all of the articles. And I will be reading them. I didn't know that magnesium was available in a spray. I was a little discouraged yesterday, I couldn't get moving. Today I woke up with NO symptoms. Starting to feel some discomfort, but nothing like I was. Once again thank you.

I know what you mean, I have no idea. I have not had any of those strange pains in a while. People that have MS use LDN a lot and get really good results with it. I believe it if you have Parkinson's that really helps too. Mary

I don't know if hair loss is a side effect of Madpar, VonnyM. Are you exercising? I get much stiffer on days that I don't take time out for exercise. There are some good tips, see posts above.
