my fathers doc has prescribed Trivastal now to my dad WHO is elderly. However each time my dad takes this one tablet of Trivastal he feels sleepy and sleeps. I called the doctor and he said my dad will get used to it. But to be honest I dont know what to do :(

This is a dopamine Agonist which tends to have more side effects, especially in the elderly, then carbidopa-levodopa. I wonder why this is what your doctor prescribed. In reading about it it list sleepiness as a side effect but did not mention that that affect would go away.

Thank you so much . The nuro said the side effect will go away but each time he takes it he sleeps:( the doc said trivastal is the lightest dose i dont know:(

ı think its because dopamin agonists dont cause dyskinesia as a side effect but maybe does carbidopa levadopa cause dykinesia as a side effect?
