I have the same problem. I take a balance class. It helps

Balance is very important and is best controlled by concentrating on what we are doing instead of thinking about other things while we walk. Have yo looked at my profile?

Falling backwards may be a sign of a neurological condition related to Parkinsons but requiring quite different management. I suggest your talk to your neurologist about this.

I have fallen backwards quite often. I have atypical parkinsonism. when i walk i have to do a lot of thinking/concentrating on my walking. I can do this best if i count out loud. If i think of anything else... like" Oh, i need to remember to do.... .... i freeze and iff i am walking too quickly or if i am walking slightly on my toes.. i will fall. No meds have helped.
