Of great concern since berries are a staple of the ursine diet:

"In a more recent study, those eating a variety of phytonutrients were less likely to develop Parkinson’s disease. Specifically, higher intake of berries was associated with significantly lower risk."

Well, all my adult life I'd eat a ton of blueberries in the summer. ..A PINT AT A TIME...non organic because they were too expensive, even though everything else I ate was organic for the past 28 yrs . I came down with pd abt 13 yrs ago.

It may sound redundant, but did you everytime thoroughly wash the berries before consuming? Organic or not air / water pollution and earth contamination can pass to produce.

Great advice, yes can’t hear it enough. I like to soak and change the water at least twice but still concerned maybe will start adding some vinegar to the rinse.

If you are worried about pesticide exposure from the so called dirty dozen, you can soak fruit and vegetables in vinegar and then rinse. This is shown to reduce pesticide residue.

Dr. Daniel Amen recommends your blueberries be organic. A bit more costly, but worth it.

We use Wyman's Wild Blueberries. They are not labeled organic but do not use pesticides. Also wild berries have less pulp and more skin and consequently higher fiber and higher anthocyanin content than ordinary blueberries providing higher anti-oxidant activity.

I buy frozen organic year round. Eat them every single day for lunch.
