I am very sorry you have thus but it's good to know I'm not the only one.

definitely not the only one. i think the lack of dopamine effects almost everything at some level. Brain is just tired at that point.

When I'm slugging through an off spell my singular focus is on completing the action I'm attempting, i.e., getting from point A to point B without falling. I get short tempered, which is not my usual nature. I don't like to talk or be disturbed. My dog looks at me with big sad wary eyes and my daughter just knows to leave me be. It is miserable! It has improved since I've had DBS, and now frequent off times is my indication that my stimulator needs some tweaking.

Your symptoms and the intensity of the symptoms change as PD progresses. Also, the therapeutic effects of PD medication changes. Generally a boondoggle of despair!

I remind myself to embrace the times I feel good and to make genuine apologies for when I don't.

Happy Saturday!

I do not know the cure of PD but it must be very close to all of us!

YEP ! That's PD. I really have to struggle not to loose my temper when someone breaks my train of thought. That is when I put the ear buds in.

I have to overcome my brain's attempt to take short cuts, short bursts of thought. Before I finish a sentence my brain is already 2 sentences ahead. I can see the same thing with Ian's posts. Short bursts of info professionally edited to make it flow.

Sorry Connie now to your original question:

Are you referring to zoning out ? THEN YES

This happens to me very regularly. I no longer take any Pd medication, so it has nothing to do with medication, it is a Pd symptom.

I put it down to STRESS. It happens most when I am stressed. When I am relaxed, I am fine. It is very embarrassing when it happens.

Yes, it is embarrassing when it happens to me. It is what it is. I am used to getting up in front of people and talking, so, since my PD has progressed and I’ve had moments like this, I don’t make public appearances speaking anymore.
