Just a thought. Could Parkinson's just be a natural part of the ageing process?

It may be like any thing else that happens to people. Some people get wrinkles, other people's heart wears out quicker. All people age differently. All PWP have different symptoms. All processes in our bodies slow down as we age. PWP may just be like any man, woman. or child they just age different. PWP may have a gene that slows down the process of making the chemicals we need to be normal what ever that is.

Bailey,

Makes sense to me. Being 77 seems old to me. Not everyone can live independently to 100.

When we were in our natural world of running to catch our food. Fighting our brother for the right to have sex with the women or women fighting to have sex with men we lived hard and died young the way all life on this planet does. Mankind's brain has advanced so fast our bodies have not had a chance to evolve to a state that can last as long as we do now. We should not live much past our 40s. If we live only to our 40s or 50s there would be no Parkinson's or heart problems. We would be fit and lean and for the most death would be cause by being eaten by animals or other people or falling off a cliff.

just need something to do. Idle hands are the devil's workshop so i better go find something to do.

That sounds good but not for the young pwps. Lots of them have the symptoms at 30! They are mostly in good shape still!! No, I don't agree. It's an illness or disease.

PD is a neuro degenerative movement disorder that can affect people of all ages. It is not specific to aging, Sure we’re all going to decline physically as we age, but PD is in no way “natural” to the course of aging. Suggesting so is like stating the trueism “we’re all going to die of something”. OK, but what happens between now and then is what’s important.

Good morning

Thanks for the reply. I sometimes just post to get people who only read to respond and give their opinion. I wish every one would post a comment about what is written here it makes much more interesting.

Absolutely! PD is a pathological disease state, not some normal aging process. If that were so, all the really old people would have PD and that is not the case.

As we age we a lot of our organs don't work as well as they did when we were young. our age is a factor in getting Parkinson's or it would be the same % of people in all age groups. I am not saying ageing causes PD just a factor. in it.

Thanks for you reply

Billy Graham just died at age 99. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in his 70s but kept on crusading. We in our 70s will probably die with, not of. For our younger PD people the cure will arrive in the next 10 years. My thought.

Perhap pwp accumulate heavy metals more quickly than others, or have compromised immune systems for a variety of physical, emotional or spiritual reasons. I had heavy duty chemo at 38 and I’m almost 71,also lived through an emotionally abusive marriage. Fortunately, I’ve learned how to take care of myself and in spite of having PD, feel healthier and happier than I could ever have imagined back then.
