Yes, of course. There is a study somewhere that shows a better outcome for people who start the meds early rather than later. I walked six and a half miles yesterday. I could never have done that without sinemet. I am only getting better from the exercise.

Yes. Excercise is so important. Delaying meds doesn't really help unless you have horrible side effects. Take the lowest dose you can until you get relief. Start with azilect.

Btw I'm not a dr! You might prefer the advice of a trained professional instead of an accountant!!

Off meds I can not even walk cross my kitchen. On meds I drive to the gym and do intense exercise or yoga for an hour almost every day. Doing very well after 9 years, Exercise is the only thing you can do to slow progression ! Do it every day you can. If you can’t do it without medicine then start taking it!

I am a Personal Trainer Certified in Delay the Disease. I teach classes in addition to one on one training. Exercise is the key to delaying symptoms. I see it every day.

Make it intense. Get your heart rate up. Daily. Practice your weakness.

Very informative; how much; and how long for ?

Get your heart rate up so you are breathless. Then practice your weakness - balance, multi tasking, rotation, etc. this helps you create new neural pathways in the brain. Daily practice means you are strengthening those pathways.

As a Pd sufferer and not a doctor I can only answer this question by relating my own experience. If you read my profile you will see how I managed to come completely off medication and lead a normal life again over 15 years ago, in 2002.
