I take Madopar 150mg six times per day plus a 24 hour 6mg Rotigotine Patch. The patch has been reduced from 10mg to 6mg as it caused my ankles to swell. Agonists do not agree with me. I would like to come off the patch completely. My ankles are not as swollen but my tremor is really bad.
Can anyone suggest a medication to replace my Rotigotine patch and control my tremor. Someone suggested CBD oil ?.

Hi Chrismed, just for info : I take 4 x 25/100 co-beneldopa (Madopar) capsules every day. I
have yet to experience any negative reaction. I work as a bass player and. do a lot of gigs /studio work and on the days I have to work I usually take an extra madopar about an hour
before I am due to start playing. As I have said, I have had no reaction to the Madopar
I have taken Sinemet in ever increasing dosages dictated by progressions for about 12 years. Since DBS 6 yrs ago It has been the only drug I've needed. Leading up to my DBS implant I was taking Compton, Requip and Amantadine in addition to the Sinemet. The agonists were really not much help, and resulted in added weight, fatigue and swelling.
Post DBS I was reduced to one drug and since i've been told that I am my best neuro regarding dosage. The ill side being dystonia and or dyskinesia.
In addition to DBS, The quality of life I still enjoy I owe to my Acupuncturist, her herbs and supplements and Yoga.......
