They called it high-dose but fails to match the dosages of many of us. Particularly their dosage of 100 IU of vitamin D is pitiful. I take 10,000 units daily plus I spend an hour and a half in the desert sun, albeit with sunblock. My blood levels of vitamin D are right in the middle of the desirable range. I wonder what they could accomplish if they got serious about supplementation.
park bear, are you still able to keep your sinemet dosage way down as a result of your chi gong practice? Any other results? I too am a Ming Tong devotee, been to a couple of retreats and find it helps
Hi Sue - yes - last March I dropped down from C/L 50/200 3x/day to once daily and have been able to maintain that dosage.
The other thing I found is I seem to be able to regain lost motor skills - it seems like when a neural circuit becomes disabled it is replaced by new or newly recruited circuitry and the motor skill returns. For example the tendency to drag my foot on the affected side has diminished.
That is very good to hear. Doing 3 hrs per day? Sometimes it is a struggle for me to find the motivation to practice multiple hours but that is mainly because I am freezing on the east coast right now. When I do, it helps my symptoms, simple as that. Bianca was at the first retreat I attended and was very helpful. There are only so many hours in the day and I find myself torn at times between regular exercise and getting enough chi gong in- but Im working on it. Thanks for your reply. I needed the inspiration.
