I am very concerned about my arm swing. I began Sinemet 100 mgrs 1-1-1 with no effect after 3 weeks. Have you recovered your arm swing after treatment?
Arm swing: I am very concerned about my arm... - Cure Parkinson's
Arm swing
Hi there my left arm lost a lot of movement and it was impossible to raise the elbow away from the body.
Hot cupping did/does wonders
BUT. It was very very painful whilst the cups were in place.
Don’t remember how long the treatment lasted
Yes, the Sinemet helped with that right away. I can always tell now when it's wearing off because my arm quits swinging, among many other things.
IT TOOK LONGER THAN 3 WEEKS FOR ANY RESULTS WITH MY ARM SWING BUT IT EVENTUALLY GET BACK TO NORMAL AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS.I WOULD SAY 3 MONTHS REALLY.
Hello
My Neurologist treats Parkinson with ‘polypharmacy’. I regained my arm swing with a drug called Trihexyphenidyl, which I take along with my Levodopa therapy. I do not take Sinemet I was prescribed Madopar, my tremor and motor symptoms improve well at the moment with this.
Best wishes

No, sinemet has not helped me recover my arm swing sorry to say
You need to make a consious effort to swing the arm as you walk. The swing can be relearned but you have to concentrate at first. The swing will help with balance and walking speed. (Practise by playing music with a good beat and 'march like a soldier' with exaggerated arm swing)
Avoid carrying a shoulder bag on that side. I think cross-body bag is safest as both hands are free.
