I was born with 4 hart conditions, i have Pd for 3 years now. I only take 1 azilect a day for the PD. I have slow and rigid movements. But on my recumbent tricycle i feel like a bird. I have a 350watt motor on my bicycle to help me because of my hart condition. My son has Down Syndrom and does not pedal his tricycle. I made a hitch and tow him.
My son and i have a message for al who have Parkinson . Keep moving, keep riding a bicycle, on a recumbent tricycle you use other muscles than on a regular bicycle. Don’t sit down but move and enjoy, we greet you al from Belgium.

I think your rigidity may improve with Sinemet. Azilect is being used for alleged neuroproctection. It's not as effective for tremor or rigidity. Try to join Rock Steady Boxing if it’s available in your area. I found it extremely helpful.
I too have a "tadpole" based recumbent trike and love it. I can still ride a traditional bike but have problems with mounting and dismounting due to a combination of balance plus bradycardia and neurocardiogenic syncope; all PD sequallae.
The best part is related to the fact that you can see much more of the environment because you are not looking down. That plus with a bike you have to maintain speed to keep balanced. However on a trike you can crawl along at any speed and take in the surrounding with out fear of falling.... on steep hills I can stop and enjoy the vista while my blood pressure stabilizes! I love it!
