HI Stepan, Good to know. Thank you for that. I have often taken caffeinated coffee in the hopes of some benefit. It worsens my tremors, which are my main symptom. It does not even help keep me awake, as in pre-PD days. What a disappointment!

Still not sure

Coke and coffee seem to help me. You realize that you need to use them in conjunction with donuts right?

I'll put the earlier studies showing benefits down to "Attractive nurse syndrome". Isolated, lonely Parkinson's patients get told they are participating in a study which may show a benefit from drinking coffee. They feel important and have nice nurses and/or dishy doctors measure their symptoms. The improved social interaction improves their mood and lessens their symptoms. Even going to the clinic may force them to do more exercise than otherwise. So each and every promising treatment gets an initial yes followed by the crushing disappointment of no improvement with the double blind study.

Moral of the story. If you can, get out more and interact with other members of your species.

Attractive nurse mmmmmm you may be correct but If you destroy all the old wives tales, myths, misconceptions, faulty studies, false hopes and excuses the world becomes a dark place. I am convinced the caffine helps and I don't need any truths or facts or scientific data. Nope working on gut feel here and don't need no double blind study. Can not see the nurses.

I bet I can find 50 places on the internet that say otherwise, that of course does not make it true either , the internet is a silly place to get information.. If I could get out more, I would not be here.

I think 55% of the information on the internet is true. Discerning which is the 55% is the hard part.
