Dr. Bredesen protocol. The end of Alzheimer's

Just finished watching the 700 Club. The health correspondent for the 700 Club just did a story on doctor bredesen and his cure for Alzheimer's. It takes between 3 and 6 months to see marked improvements. If you have a loved one or if you want more information you can buy the book it's a 36 step protocol for improving. I believe it's really worthwhile to look into it. Mary

This is legitimate therapy, thanks for sharing. Here's the link to the published research paper from Dr. Bredesen UCLA. doi.org/10.18632/aging.100690

I didn't see a description of the therapy. Can you direct me to it please? Do I have to pay a fee to read the actual study?

If you open silentechoes link and scroll down there is a chart detailing the protocol.

See Parkie13's post. I'm validating Dr. Bredesen's protocol. The best price I found for his book is here: ebay.com/itm/like/272818428...

It's certainly worth $8.00 to me.

Isn't it interesting that the treatments closest to a cure are nutritional. Pharmaceuticals cannot claim to cure any Neurological Dysfunction, they only treat symptoms. I don't want treatment, I want a cure!

Yep, which is why I have turned to diet as soon as I realized I had PD. If it doesn't help....I will have lost 30 lbs and eaten super healthy, which supports my health in general. This book was in my Amazon cart already....haven't bought it yet but I will. Thanks for posting.

How likely would this be to work for Parkinson's as well?

You have nothing to loose by trying diet and exercise.

Looks promising. 10 people in this trial so I look forward to further trials with larger numbers.

From the research paper

"......the current, anecdotal results require a larger trial, not only to confirm or refute the results reported here, but also to address key questions raised, such as the degree of improvement that can be achieved routinely, how late in the course of cognitive decline reversal can be effected, whether such an approach may be effective in patients with familial Alzheimer's disease, and how long improvement can be sustained."

Hi Parkie13

I am mainly based in the PSP Assoc. HU forum.

I wondered through here seeking opinions on Bredesen's book which I am currently reading... and say your post.

This Dr reads the clinical and nutrictional journals and pulls out useful studies. He also seems to be attached to a University in the States.

Best of luck to you.

I have looked into it....it is similar to Wahl protocol or Plant Paradox. I am doing a combo of them. I was doing great but then took minocycline for rosacea flare-up (damn glass of red wine). My symptoms have appeared with a vengeance. Yep, found out hard way the gut -brain thing is real. Actively trying to recover with probiotics and strict anti-inflammatory diet. No antibiotics for me in the future. Yikes!
